1 Aug 2018 — Thames River Sightseeing
The West End of London is renowned throughout the world for its theatre, and no holiday in the capital can be without a visit to a play or a musical.
London’s ‘theatreland’ has an incredible offer for August: free London theatre tickets for the kids! Theatres taking part in Kids Week (which actually lasts for the entire month) are giving you the opportunity to get a free ticket for a child under 16 for every adult ticket you buy, with the option of buying up to two additional child tickets for half price – a substantial saving on a family day out!
There is a list of shows taking part in the promotion on the Official London Theatre website, with a guide to appropriate age groups. So, if you want to go on a Bear Hunt, or see live dinosaurs with your under 5s, get your over 5s interested in Horrible Histories and Gangsta Grannies, take your over 8s to a musical, or introduce older kids to adult theatre such as the spooky Woman in Black or a Comedy about a Bank Robbery, there’s something for you!
If you’re travelling to London for a show, then why not make a day of it? You could easily spend a whole week in the capital and still not get to see everything, there’s so much to do! And if you want to concentrate your sightseeing in the area between Westminster and Tower Bridge, you can do that at the same time as having a rest by hopping on and hopping off one of our Circular Cruise boats.
Before you go into a darkened theatre, you can sit on the top deck of one of our boats and soak up the lovely sunshine and refreshing river breeze (don’t forget to put the suncream on) as you glide slowly past some of the most iconic views from the Thames.
If you book your tickets in advance, you can take advantage of our summer offer of Family of 4 tickets for just £20 so you can save even more money on your family day out in London. Click here to find out more. If you decide to leave it to the day, show a valid London Travelcard at the ticket office and save a third on the cost of your cruise!
