SERVICE UPDATE – Thursday, 1st April 2021
We are pleased to confirm that we will resume our services on Easter weekend (Friday 2nd – Monday 5th April). Following this, we will operate a reduced service on weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) only until further notice.
We are operating one route calling at Westminster Pier, Embankment Pier, St. Katharine Pier & Greenwich Pier. Unfortunately, at the moment, our vessels are not calling at Festival Pier or Bankside Pier and we are not operating our Thames Barrier service.
Unfortunately, at this moment, our bars on board will not be open and our crew members will not be able to provide a live commentary on any services until further notice. However, our Audio Guide in six languages (English, Spanish, Italian, French, German and Mandarin) is still available for smartphones.
If you have booked a river cruise ticket directly with Thames River Sightseeing and you were not able to use it because our services were temporarily suspended, your ticket will be automatically valid until 31st December 2021.
We look forward to welcoming you on board and thank you for your support.
The health and safety of our staff and customers has and will always be our number one priority. Please see below the safety precautions we have already taken to stop coronavirus spreading and will be in place when we re-open.
We’re good to go!
We are delighted to have been given the ‘we’re good to go’ certificate from Visit Britain. This certificate means that our business adheres to Government and public health guidance.
Pre-booked tickets & flexible bookings
We strongly recommend booking your river cruise tickets in advance online. You can present your ticket printed or on your mobile phone upon arrival. You will be able to postpone or cancel your booking at any time if you are not able to take your river cruise due to Covid-19.
Please do not board if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19. Instead, please contact our customer services team at email@example.com to postpone or cancel your booking.
Please try to maintain social distancing by keeping a minimum of 1-metre away from other passengers while on the pier and on- board the vessel.
Where possible a 2-metre distance is recommended.
We have reduced our capacity in order to maintain social distancing and provide a comfortable experience for our customers.
Please do not enter/sit on closed areas/chairs on-board.
We request passengers to wear a face covering, unless exempted, while on the pier, boarding, disembarking and when moving around the boat.
Routine cleaning & disinfecting
In order to keep a safe environment for everyone, we have implemented a regular thorough cleaning and disinfecting routine on-board our boats.
Please help us to keep our boats clean by placing your rubbish in the bins provided on-board.
Please wash your hands and use the hand sanitizer stations available on the piers and boats.
Test & Trace
Please scan the QR code available on each pier with the NHS Covid-19 App.
