In normal circumstances, these are our opening hours:

Our winter services run between 10:20 and 16:30

Our summer services run between 10:00 and 19:00

The Thames is chock-a-block full of London landmarks, including the iconic Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and Cutty Sark, as well as modern attractions like the Shard, the O2 and the Thames Barrier. Rest assured your skipper will point out all the points of interest in an entertaining and informative commentary.

On the Blue Route:

Westminster Pier to Greenwich Pier single takes 1 hour

Westminster Pier to Greenwich Pier via the Thames Barrier single takes 2 hours

St Katharine’s Pier to Greenwich Pier single takes 20-30 minutes

St Katharine’s Pier to Greenwich Pier via the Thames Barrier single takes 1½ hours

Greenwich Pier to Thames Barrier returning to Greenwich takes 1 hour

On the Pink Route:

A complete circular cruise will take approximately 50 minutes, but you can hop on and hop off from Westminster Pier to St Katharine’s Pier at any of the London piers it calls at. The return journey from St Katharine’s Pier to Westminster Pier is non-stop and it takes approximately 20 minutes.

Prices and Ticketing


Yes. We have a student discount available, but only at the ticket office and is not available online. Students must present a valid identity card when buying the tickets.

Yes. We offer a 50% discount for one carer per disabled person. This discount applies only to tickets purchased at the ticket office and is not available online.

Yes. We offer a 50% discount on the normal fare for Freedom Pass holders, wheelchair users or any other disabled people with a valid disability badge. This discount applies only to tickets purchased at the ticket office and is not available online.

No, it is not necessary to book a ticket for a child under 5 as it is free of charge.

Yes, you can change the date of your booking any time by contacting us at bookings@thamesriversightseeing.com (Monday to Friday) or by phone at +44 (0) 20 3778 0700 (Saturdays and Sundays).

Yes, your ticket will be accepted at any time on the same date.

Yes, you can. You just need to select the day you wish to visit the attraction when making the booking.

As we operate a hop-on hop-off service, you can disembark at any pier and continue your journey later.

A family ticket is for 2 adults and up to 3 children.

  • Infant (free of charge): Under 5 years old
  • Child: between 5 and 15 years old
  • Adult: between 16 and 59 years old
  • Senior: 60 years old and over

No. With our new booking system you can choose whether to print your tickets or save them on your phone. Whatever works best for you.

Yes of course you can. If you don’t want to book in advance, you can turn up to any of our piers and buy tickets from one of our ticket offices. If you have an Oyster card or a London Travelcard valid for that day, you will receive a discount.

TRS Boats


Yes, we have a fully licenced bar onboard where you can purchase hot and cold drinks as well as snacks.

Yes. In fact we’re well-known for our entertaining live commentary. We also have an audio commentary service available in a number of languages via smartphones – English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin.

Yes. There are indoor lounges with panoramic windows on all of our boats so you can enjoy your sightseeing cruise whatever the weather.

Yes. They will enjoy a sightseeing cruise on the Thames as much as you do!

Yes, there’s plenty of room.

Yes. In fact all dogs are welcome on TRS cruises.

Yes, all our boats have open decks in addition to heated lounges which have panoramic windows, giving you the choice of sitting inside or outside, depending on the weather.

Yes, the majority of our boats are wheelchair accessible. Check with staff at the ticket office or visit Our Boats for details of which ones are accessible by wheelchair.

General


No. All lost property is handed in to the crew and then kept safe until it is claimed.

Sorry, we do not have parking facilities available. Check our journey planner for details of public transport.

We run our services all year round, even in poor weather. Our boats have heated indoor lounges which means you can enjoy the sights of London even in the winter rain! Disruptions and cancellations to our service are unusual, but if, for whatever reason, our service is affected, we will update the website and share the information across our social media channels.

Covid-19


No. We have temporarily suspended our services from November 5th until further notice following the Government guidelines for the Covid-19 pandemic. We continue to monitor the situation closely, and we plan to reopen as soon as the current lockdown is lifted. Please click here for more details.

If you have a river cruise pre-booked ticket directly with us and you are not able to use it because we are temporarily closed, your ticket will be automatically valid until 31st December 2021.

Alternatively, if you wish to cancel your existing booking and request a full refund, you will be able to do it by contacting our Customer Service Team at bookings@thamesriversightseeing.com

If you have not purchased your ticket directly with Thames River Sightseeing, please contact the relevant ticket agent you have purchased from directly. Please get in touch with our Customer Service Team at bookings@thamesriversightseeing.com if the ticket agent requires any further information from us.

Yes, it does while these Government guidelines are in place. If you are a group of more than 6 people from different households, or you are part of a tour, you will need to make separate bookings of maximum 6 people, and people must stay in their own bubble at all times socially distanced from other bubbles.

Yes, you can purchase your ticket directly at the kiosks located at every pier. However, we strongly recommend to pre-book your ticket online if possible.

You will be requested to wear a mask or face covering, unless you are exempted, while you are on the pier, embarking, disembarking or moving around the boat.

Yes, it is. But only one customer at the bar at any time.
